If you’re anything like I was, you may be wondering, what in the world is a bed jacket?  The name basically describes it. It’s a lightweight yet comfy and warm jacket you wear while in bed. It was used back in the day on patients in hospitals. Mothers who had just given birth and any woman who needed to look pretty while laying down. However, a bed jacket does more than help you visually, it keeps you warm!

I was visiting family, it was early in the morning, and the house was cold so I wrapped a blanket around my shoulders (as many do) and made my way downstairs. My cousin saw me and said, “You need a bed jacket.” Since I had no idea what she meant I said, “A what?” She pulled out this super soft pink short jacket and told me to put it on. I was instantly in love and knew this would be one of my travel essentials.

Have you ever been in a hotel room and gotten a bit chilly? You didn’t want to get out of bed cause you’re comfortable, but you hardly feel like sitting up with the covers up to your neck. And the thought of putting a hotel blanket on your skin may not appeal to you. So what can you do? Take out your bed jacket! It’s the perfect travel accessory for those of us that need a little more warmth but don’t have room to pack a full robe.

It’s one of those items you can wear around your hotel room or apartment rental and be super comfortable as it’s not bulky like a robe. It’s light weight and easy to pack, so it fits nicely in your carry-on bag.
