BBC Radio Host Fired After Tweet Comparing The Royal Baby To Chimpanzee
Danny Baker, a British broadcaster for BBC radio, was fired after posting a racist tweet about the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s new baby.

The tweet, which has since been deleted, showed a couple holding hands with a chimpanzee wearing clothes, captioned with text that read, “Royal baby leaves hospital,” as reported in the BBC and the Independent.
Met with heavy criticism online, given the fact that Meghan Markle is biracial, Baker apologized on Twitter “for the stupid unthinking gag pic earlier.”
He continued that the tweet was “supposed to be joke about Royals vs circus animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys and race, so rightly deleted. Royal watching not my forte.”
By then it was too late.
Baker went back on social media to inform that he was fired from BBC Radio.
A BBC spokesperson told CNN that “this was a serious error of judgment and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody. Danny’s a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us.”
The radio host responded to his former employer’s decision by alleging that BBC “literally threw me under the bus.”
Prince Harry and Meghan’s newborn son, Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor, was born Monday morning. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex presented son to the world on Wednesday.”
Their baby has made history as the first biracial child in the royal family.

Markle, unfortunately, has been a target among cyberbullies.
Earlier this year, Kensington Palace officials said they would devote some of their resources towards deleting comments against the Duchess of Sussex, and blocking abusive Twitter and Instagram accounts.
