As each day passes, more and more people are unknowingly contracting the novel coronavirus. Unfortunately, less than 20,000 tests for COVID-19 could be processed in the United States each day. One company is working hard to make more tests available and they’re bringing testing kits right to your doorstep.

EverlyWell manufactures at-home lab tests made available for customers to purchase online, or at retailers such as Target and CVS. They currently have 30+ at-home testing kits for everything from fertility and STDs to food sensitivity and heart health. In approximately 1-2 weeks, the company will be launching an at-home test for COVID-19.

COVID-19 testing kits will be priced at cost, likely for less than the price of a typical urgent care copay, which means the company, founded in 2015 by Julia Cheek, is not seeking to make a profit.

With the help of EverlyWell, more people can be tested for COVID-19 sooner, which will slow down the spread of this infectious disease.

For now, the CDC suggests that if you believe you’ve been exposed to COVID‑19 and develop a fever and symptoms such as cough or difficulty breathing, you should call your healthcare provider for medical advice.
