American Airlines Brings an At-Home Wine Experience To Customers
Several airline carriers suspended in-flight alcohol last year as a precautionary measure during the Covid-19 pandemic. But if you’re missing those mid-flight miniature bottles, American Airlines has something even bigger in store.
For the first time ever, adults 21-years or older can sip on full bottles of premium wines thanks to American’s new Flagship® Cellars at-home wine experience. The service is operated by Vinessse Wines.
“For wine lovers around the world, wine provides a deeper connection to the places they enjoy visiting,” said Alison Taylor, Chief Customer Officer at American Airlines in a statement. “We created Flagship Cellars to provide more ways for customers to enjoy our Flagship wine even if they aren’t flying in one of our premium cabins.”
According to the airline, the wines are selected by an award-winning master sommelier exclusively for American. Customers can purchase a monthly wine subscription of three bottles for $99.99, choose from a curated collection of ultra-premium wines, or put together their own custom box.
As an added benefit, monthly subscribers are eligible for two AAdvantage Miles for every dollar spent. Availability varies by state.
