50 In 50: Where To Get Tested On National HIV Testing Day
June 27th is National HIV Testing Day, a day first observed in 1995 to bring awareness to HIV and encourage everyone to get tested and know their status. In 2017, African Americans accounted for 43% of the United States HIV diagnoses despite only being 13% of the U.S. population. Out of the 43% of those African Americans diagnosed with HIV, 26% are Black women.
We’d like to encourage everyone to get tested and know their status, so we are dropping a list of 50 Black and LGBTQ friendly testing centers across the 50 states where you can get tested.
If you can’t make it in today, these places are available for testing daily, not just for National HIV Testing Day. Don’t see your city here? Find a testing center near you by clicking this link.
