Now that the fall season is in full swing and temperatures begin to drop, the COVID-19 pandemic could be on the rise again. Americans are looking more to traveling within the U.S. since many international borders are still closed. This leads us to wonder where in America can we visit that is low risk for COVID-19 transmission?

Fortunately, Lawn Love analysed various COVID-19 statistics as well as tourism information and ranked 100 destinations in the U.S. from lowest risk to highest risk for fall travel.

According to Lawn Love, “Northern cities on both the west and east coasts typically ranked higher than cities in the South. This is because they have fewer COVID-19 cases per 100,000 and more fall-focused, outdoor attractions.”

The safest destinations all had either outdoor state and national parks or lots of areas where travelers can social distance.
