3 Signs That You Might Be A Travel Snob
Snob: a person who believes that their tastes in a particular area are superior to those of other people.
While many people associate this term with the affluent, it can apply to people in other spaces as well. If you are a person who has been able to see a lot of the world in a short period of time or you’ve conquered destinations others could only dream of going to, you begin to move a bit differently in your approach to traveling.
We’ve come up with 3 ways to test if you are in fact a travel snob. This list is all in fun, so it’s in no way a jab to those who are beginning their travel journeys.
You side eye people who take pictures every 5 seconds on vacation
Yes, vacation is all about capturing great memories through photos. After all, if you don’t post about it how will we know that it happened?
For the more seasoned travelers and travel snobs, taking photos is no longer at the forefront of your vacation plans. This is especially true if you’ve frequented a destination more than once.
You give a slight side eye to those who pull out their cameras as soon as they step off the plane. While they are totally within their right to do so, you just no longer see the need.
You show up to the airport later than normal travelers
Again, when you feel like you’ve mastered this travel thing you start to do things a bit different. You are the type that will roll up to the airport with minutes to spare, carry-on bags properly in tow, and all documents in hand.
You get to the TSA line and get frustrated with the people who haven’t quite mastered the process. After all, they’re holding you up when you only have a few minutes to get to your gate.
You don’t see the need to announce your travel plans
Nothing is more exciting than finally booking that trip, getting the time off from work, and heading off for a few days of fun or relaxation.
While most people will proudly announce to their social media networks when they have booked their next vacay, a travel snob does the opposite. They are the type to just pop up one day in a random destination with a caption like “new country, who dis.”
If you have ever found yourself doing any of these things, we’re sorry to say it. You just may be a travel snob, and that’s ok.
