According to a blog post released on Monday, Google has now upgraded its travel planning features. Customers will now be able to gain information on flight and lodging prices up to six months in advance.

When searching for flights on Google Flights price tracking is automatically activated between your two cities of departure and arrival. Once you select to adjust the filters, at the very bother there will be a selection that says “track price”. Using the option of “any dates” Google will now send you alerts if their algorithm detects a lower fare within the next three to sixth months of your inquiry.

Google has also developed updates for their Google Maps app for drivers who need to reach their destinations. The Explore Tool feature lets you explore cities worldwide by budget and trip length. Now the feature will automatically default to flight prices, but now a pink dot and bubble will appear that says “Explore Nearby”. This feature shows locations within distance along with prices for nearby lodging and local weather forecast.

Another feature within the new upgrades, users can enter a landmark or address in the “hotel and vacation rental search bar” and see a selection of places to stay within a thirty -minute walk or drive. You can also bookmark hotels or rental property in case you need to plan for future trips to your destination of choice.

Google is constantly evolving with the times to bring users a more gratifying experience while on the go. The enhancements should make way for a more efficient way to travel.
