I saw you on Huffington Post Live commenting on doing things solo and came to your site. I watched your expat video and had a couple of tips. I lived abroad in Siena, Italy for two years 2005-2007 and it is one of the greatest experiences of my life.

Re becoming an expat….Do your research on the country, it’s customs and read some present day magazines and newspapers so you know what is going on before you arrive. Search for Expat websites for the country you seek to live in. I got lots of vital information this way. Lastly learn the Visa requirements so that you can have your ducks in a row when you submit your application. My application was approved in two days because I learned from others mistakes.

    Salut mon ami!

My fiance’ and I are looking to have a destination wedding next year in Mexico or Puerto Rico. Is there any tips or deals that you know of that can help us get the best deals and create a lasting memory for all those involved?

I would like to study abroad in Spain. Where can I find scholarships and grants?

Just start googling! I did that for studying abroad in general and ran across several that I am currently applying for (even some that are not country specific, you need only apply)! You have to weed through a lot of info, but it is helpful for sure. Also, if you are currently in school, your institution should have an office of foreign affairs/study abroad opportunities. These people can give you insight and help with the apps process. If you’re in high school, talk to your high school counselor. He or she can help you get the info you need. Hope this helps!
