Digital nomadism is a lifestyle in which people are freed from the constraints of time and location. The number of digital nomads with traditional jobs grew from 6.3 million in 2020 to 10.2 million in 2021 (42%).

Thanks to lockdowns, most people kept their older jobs, opting for remote arrangements while traveling. With so many locations available for those who have adopted the remote work lifestyle, many of them want to enjoy paradisiacal beach destinations.

Nomad Capitalist has just released the 2022 Nomad Beach Index (NBI). The NBI reveals the world’s top 10 paradisiacal beach destinations for seven-figure nomad capitalists in 2022.

The NBI is a result of aggregating data from over 30 different, unique sources, ranking the top 35 beach destinations worldwide on a scale of 10 to 50 using the following factors: beauty (30 percent), services (20 percent), taxes (20 percent), immigration (20 percent), and safety (10 percent).

Like last year, the Cayman Islands topped the list in 2022, due to its status as a Caribbean tax haven for investors who do not wish to deal with the complicated tax laws of other countries.

“The Nomad Beach Index ranks beaches by aggregating beach beauty, services, taxation, immigration, and safety as most aspiring global citizens are not looking for a place where they can take the best photos to upload to Instagram for everyone to see. Instead, they work and live overseas and are considering how the place they are going to call ‘home’ will affect their lives,” Nomad Capitalist said in a press release.

See below the list of the 10 best paradisiacal beach destinations according to Nomad Capitalist.
